Run a Group CPD Session

Use a Group CPD Session to play on-demand videos from one device and record CPD watch time for everyone attending.

Who can run a session?
An Owner or Admin on a Team or Firm plan can run Group CPD Sessions. They work with on-demand videos and are not available for Live Event webinars.

Start a Group CPD Session

Open the on-demand video you want to watch.
Select Start Group Session.

Select Start Group Session on an on-demand video.

Select every Team or Firm member attending.
Select Start Session.

Select every member attending the session.

Stop a Group CPD Session

Find the Group session toolbar at the bottom of the video page.
Select Stop Session.
Optionally enter a session name.
Select Save and View Report.

Use the toolbar to stop the session.

View a Group CPD Session report

Select your avatar, then select Team CPD.
Open Activity, then Group Sessions.
Select the session.

Frequently asked questions

Can I watch more than one video in a session?

Yes. Watch time from each video becomes part of the session record.

Does each attendee receive an entry in My CPD?

Yes. Videos watched during a Group CPD Session appear with a Group badge in each attendee’s My CPD report.

The Group badge identifies Group CPD watch time.

Does Group CPD watch time count towards Team CPD totals?

Yes. The Team CPD report includes the session watch time for every attendee. If three attendees each watch one minute, the organisation total increases by three minutes and each attendee receives one minute.

Does Group CPD appear in Activity and CSV exports?

Yes. Activity and CSV exports contain a record for each attendee and each video watched. Group Session records have a Group badge.

Why are videos missing from the session report?

Reports can take a few minutes to process. Refresh after 5–10 minutes. If videos are still missing, contact us.

Why does the report say “Processing…”?

Wait 5–10 minutes and refresh. If it continues processing, contact us.

Who can start a Group CPD Session?

Organisation Owners and Admins can start Group CPD Sessions.

Can I use Group CPD Sessions with Live Events?

No. Group CPD Sessions work with on-demand videos, not Live Event webinars.
